Cote d'Ivoire 後級擴大機推薦PM reappointed, to name gov't next week
ABIDJAN, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Cote d'Ivoire's Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan who was reappointed to the position on Wednesday by President Alassane Ouattara, is expected to name his government next week, a source from the presidency has said.
The prime minister, who has being serving in the position since his appointment in November 2012, had earlier on the same day submitted to the president his resignation and that of his government.
Ouattara, who was reelected in October 2015, called for greater unity within the government.
"We have started a new mandate that must mark a new departure in the direction of state affairs," Ouattara said at a press conference in Abidjan, adding that the objective is to establish a more unified government so that it can be more efficient.
Ouattara has promised to reduce poverty, promote ethnic and political reconciliation, write a new constitution and share the benefits of economic growth after nearly two decades of political crises that culminated into armed violence following the disputed 2010 elections.
